A big thank you to everybody who came out last week to the Flying Squirrels game at the Diamond, and an especially big thank you to NCSU alum Laura Kenny and the rest of the staff of the Flying Squirrels. We had a bit of a challenge maintaining our spot in the stands but a fun time was had by everybody.
This Saturday marks the start of the 2010 NCSU football season and that means game watch gatherings at the Home Team Grill are right around the corner. Please watch the website for an update later this week about the upcoming football season.
Thanks, and GO PACK!!

Hello Richmond Wolfpackers!
We are attempting to put together an outing to the Diamond for a Flying Squirrels game in late August and need to see who all is interested in attending. New Richmond resident Laura Kenny of the Flying Squirrels, who is also a NCSU alum and a former Miss Wuf, has graciously agreed to help us put this together. The 3 games we are considering are on August 23, 24, and 25th. We would need a minimum of 20 people to commit to this in order to make it happen. The ticket price would be $5 and would include group recognition at the Diamond. What I need to is know who is willing to commit to this and your headcount, as well which of the 3 dates works best for you. If you do not have a preference for any of the dates please let me know that as well. The game time for all 3 games is 7:05 and they will be playing the Reading Phillies.
If you would like to attend please email us at the link on the right side of the page with your head count and date you would prefer (or if you have no preference).
We need to have all responses by next Friday, July 30.
If you have any questions please let us know as well.
Thanks, and GO PACK!!

The NCSU Club of Richmond, VA would like to extend its deepest sympathies to the family of Lloyd Spangler. Lloyd was a four sport letterman at John Marshall High School who went on to play for the Wolfpack at North Carolina State University. He was a member of the team that went to the Liberty Bowl in 1967 and was selected to play in the North / South College All Stars football game. Lloyd attended several of our events here in Richmond and will be sincerely missed.
